A Health Risk Appraisal for Children and Adolescents is currently under development
and in its fourth year of field trials. The "Kids At Risk" or "KARS"
instruments are designed for Middle School and High School age children and adolescents.
The twenty areas covered in the KARS risk appraisal
questionnaires are:

The present form of the questionnaire has 86 questions. Questions 1 to
53 are for Middle School students, and 1 to 86 are for High School students. Questions 54 to 86 cover the last five
areas listed above.
